Marafiki Pamoja

Marafiki Pamoja is a registered Community Based Organization (CBO) in the community of Ngando, Dagoretti in Nairobi, Kenya. We support the students at Bright Star Academy by providing a safe, enriching environment in which to learn, play, and grow into healthy, caring, resilient adults.

Mission:

Marafiki Pamoja advances its vision of providing a safe, enriching environment by allowing children and adolescents opportunities to learn, play, and grow into caring, resilient adults through working in partnership with the local community to reduce hunger and empower individuals with the desire and skills to strengthen their community through service to others. Marafiki Pamoja serves the children, adolescents, staff, and volunteers at Bright Star Academy in Riruta-Satellite, Nairobi, through a variety of school and community-based programs including Camp Marafiki Pamoja, a year-round food sponsorship program, and school operations. Marafiki Pamoja’s community-oriented approach relies on knowledgeable and skilled local and international volunteers and organizations. Marafiki Pamoja is sustainable through passionate volunteers and steady donor support.
